Day 150 Sunshine & Rockpools!

At last we woke to a sunny morning and as it was a morning low tide we headed down the beach to explore the rock pools.  we found a goodly collection of fish, crabs, sea slugs and a dead starfish.  Mia insists she saw a shark in the big pool known as Lion's Rock Pool.  She also overcame her fear and held her first crab! It was a reasonable sized shore crab, about 4-5cms across the shell so we were impressed.  A year ago she wouldn't even touch one and would run away if approached with one.  Gareth is an avid rock pooler and it was good to see him in his customary head down position!

Todays challenge is Stopped Motion so after snapping a potential subject of a horse trotting through the waves I persuded my reluctant family to jump off a rock for me.  The shots of the five of them were a little too confused with people hidden and stray arms and legs sticking out  but the shots of the newlyweds worked well. I was particularly pleased by the shadows!

Jump!

We stopped off in the playground on our way back - the little ones must have their playtime!

Then a very pleasant barbecue lunch before heading down the pub to watch Swansea win a place in the Premiership.  Gaz & Vikki went home from there while the rest of us just chilled!
