Day 282 A Quiet Day

We'd hoped to do another cycle ride today but it dawned grey & drizzly.  We're very much fair weather bikers so we decided to leave the bikes nice & dry in the dining room. ( We really must make some room for them in the garage!) There were two more Rugby World Cup quarter finals this morning so we watched them. New Zealand and Australia are through to the semifinals and will play each other next week.  The Kiwis are far and away the better team so the whole of Wales is now hoping for a Wales All Blacks final in a fortnight.

We popped into Cardiff to do a spot of shopping and while there had a phonecall from Huw to say Mother in Law had fallen and couldn't get up. This time she'd just slipped forward on her chair and was sitting on the floor but couldn't get up.  Huw got there first and picked her up. Fortunately she was fine but it gave us a bit of a start.  She's only just getting her strength back after her fall in June, another serious fall would be disastrous.

Back home we had a quiet afternoon & evening.  My photo is for Our daily challenge topic of Broken. It's not my usual style, a bit too schmalzy.  I found the quote on a google search. I've no idea who Stephanie Eychaner is but it seemed appropriate.  Anyway don't be greedy - you had lots of photos yesterday!

ps I'm sure you all realise this is not at all an autobiographical representation.  If you know us, it couldn't be further from the truth!
