Day 315 Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

Friday 11 November

We were up at 6.00 for the four hour drive to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane this morning. This was a fantastic place with over a hundred koalas together with a variety of other Australian animals all really well presented in spacious enclosures.  We really enjoyed ourselves there, Vicky and I left with hundreds of photos although I have been pretty vigorous in deleting the duplicates and fuzzy shots.

We spent the night on the outskirts of Brisbane and took a drive to an Indian restaurant that the gps listed.  It was empty, bar one table, so we walked past and found another Indian just down the road. This was nearly fully booked, we had the last table.  The food was superb and, significantly, there were at least three Indian families eating there.  I was a bit disappointed the mud crab massala was off the menu so I had goat rezalla instead - delicious though it did taste just like lamb.  The others were much more conservative in their choices but all the food was excellent.  It's one of the best Indian restaurants I've been to.

Anyway here's lots of animal  photos!
