Day 128 Sunshine & Showers

We stayed overnight at the Vale with other close family & had a very sociable breakfast together before going our separate ways. As the sun was shining LB & I got our new bikes out for a ride along the byppass community path. As I've had a cold this was the first time I'd ridden mine.  We had a couple of stops to raise my seat as it was way too low and then it was so much nicer than my old bike!  No rattles, positive gear changes, better brakes & comfy. Great! A gel seat and padded knickers are a huge help too! I've bought three quarter length cycle trousers with removable padded lining, stretch panels, ventilated panels & lots of pockets.  Bike stuff has certainly moved on in the last few years.  We're getting a bit old and out of shape for the old lycra kit, the new "baggy shorts" are much more our style!


We had a few spots of rain when we set off and 3/4 of the way along the route the sky darkened considerably so we turned back. I only took the one photo today - this snap of a sunlit field as the clouds were gathering. Not great but it'll have to do! We got home about 2 minutes before the downpour and had a restful remainder of the day.  More photo sorting for me, it's taking me hours to cull, crop, process & convert to jpeg all the wedding, and now reception photos so I can give H&M a disc and print off an album.  Also will put a gallery on here. Can't complain as, hopefully, it's a once in a lifetime event for them.  Here's todays photo.
