Day Zero - Preparations!

I've developed a bit of a passion for photography since retiring.  I had my first dSLR camera for Christmas in 2008, a Canon 450D and have since moved on to the Canon 7D.  Initially my interest was in documenting our travels but this has expanded to include landscape & bird photography. In fact I am still finding my niche!  I have decided to do a 365 project and to post a photo a day here and also on possibly Flickr to push me to think more about both the technical and artistic sides of my photography.  As it's a blog, if I add a bit of text it will build up into a nice little journal for myself and hopefully will be of interest to others. As well as the 7D I'll be using a Canon Powershot G12 and my iPhone. We also have a waterproof camera, a Panasonic Lumix DFT-FT1, which will be used in any wet environments.
